Continuous Professional Development Seminar for Muballigheen - December 2016

Seven Years in a row BMMK Hosts CPD

It is the seventh consecutive year, the Mission in collaboration with IEB of the World Federation of KSIMC, The Federation of KSI Jamaats of Africa and Central Bilal Board organized a ten days workshop for muballigheen and muballighat in an effort to create a platform to share knowledge and experience.

The workshop attracted 86 participants from various organizations in Kenya, Tanzanian and Uganda. The lead facilitator for the seminar was Alhaj Sheikh Ayub Rashid from the United Kingdom.  The workshop commenced on 19th to the 31st of December 2016 at Bilal Hall.

FOOD RELIEF TO THE RURAL POPULATION

Following Standard Digital News October 2016 newswire: Five counties in the Coast region of Kenya are staring at starvation as the country faces another cycle of famine-related deaths.

Kilifi, Kwale and Samburu counties have received minimal or no rains at all in the past four months. Our Centres located in these counties are also affected.

The situation is threatening 1.3 million lives in Kenya, according to the National Drought Management Authority (NDMA). Kilifi has been identified as having the severest vegetation deficit. Kinango in Kwale and Lamu West sub-counties are also in the severe vegetation deficit. “One county (Kilifi) is in the alarm drought phase, while all others are in alert or normal, with a generally worsening trend,” the authority says in its October national drought early warning bulletin.

BILAL UGANDA – A BRIEF MONTHLY REPORT OF FEBRUARY 2017

We thank Allah (SWT) who gives us guidance and protection. Bilal Muslim of Ugnda continued to conduct different activities in the month of February, herewith below a brief report on these activities.

A seminar on the personality and contribution of Lady Fatemah (AS) towards Islam was conducted.  The seminar was attended by a big numbers by women and girls.

The guest speaker was Ustadh Adam Sebyala; he reminded the gathering that Lady Fatimah (AS) was an excellent role Model to all Muslims women; he continued to say that she was the Holy Prophet’s daughter and served as the best daughter, best wife to her husband and best mother to her children at all times.

The Holy Prophet (SAWW) gave her the title Umme Abeeha which means mother of her father because of the good care she took for him.

HAWZAT-UL-QAIM TANGA HOLDS 5TH GRADUATION CEREMONY

Hawzat-ul-Qaim (a.t.f) Tanga since officially established in 2007 has conducted five graduation ceremonies. On the 4th of February, 2017 (6th Jamad-ul-Uula 1438 AH) Bilal Muslim Mission Tanga Branch led by Director of Hawzat Samahat Sheikh Amir Kipingu conducted its fifth graduation conferring on students the degrees of Islamic studies. Six students out of ten (10) since they joined institution in 2011 were able to graduate and receive their title on that day.

The guest of honour was Principal of Hawzat Imam Swadiq (a.s) Samahat Sheikh Hemed Jalala from Dar es Salaam who came with his deputy Sheikh Mohammed Abdu. The graduation ceremony was also blessed by the presence of Principal of Jamiat-ul-Mustafa – Tz branch i.e. Syed Radhavi alongwith Br. Ali Bagheri – the Cultural Counselor –Embassy of the Islamic Republic Of Iran.

FREE EYE CAMP AT DODOMA ORGANIZED BY
THE BILAL MUSLIM MISSION OF TANZANIA  

The Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania in collaboration with BETA Charitable Trust of Essex, U.K, Darul Muslimeen Education Center and with the support of other Well-Wishers held a free eye and health camp at Dodoma, from 9thto 12th December 2016.

The camp was held at Darul Muslimeen Education Centre, in Dodoma and the surgeries were carried out at Dodoma General Hospital with the help of the District Medical Officer.
 
People from various villages in Dodoma region registered for the Free Eye treatment, and a record number of 5500 patients of various ages were screened, details are given below:

BILAL TANGA EXTENDS HAWZAT UZ ZAHRA

Starting from 2017 Bilal Muslim Mission – Tanga branch has restructured and extended duration for girls studying in Hawzat-uz-Zahra from 3 to 5 years. The new five year course will be divided into two parts i.e. Pre-Hawza studies which will be for 2 years and Hawza studies which will be for 3 years.

A total of 35 students were interviewed for Pre–Hawza studies out of which 23 were selected to join the course. The Interview was conducted by a team of teachers led by the Principal of Hawza Sayed Hassan Musawi on 25th January 2017. At present Hawzat-uz-Zahra has a total of 46 students, i.e. 38 in Pre-Hawza and 8 students in Hawza.

BRIEF REPORT - JANUARY 2017

Bilal Muslim Organization of Uganda conducted a number of activities in January, 2017 among them are the following:

BOREHOLE NO 37:

Water projects: One Borehole was dug and officially opened by the delegation from Bilal Muslim Organization in the areas of Kayindu Luweero District.

The Borehole will help the inhabitants of more than six Villages, worshiping areas for both Muslims and non Muslims plus schools both primary and secondary which are located in the area. We thank those well wishers who contributed towards the success of this project.
