Eid ul Adha Greetings

My Dear Community Members,

Salaamun Alaikum.

On behalf of the Africa Federation Office Bearers, Trustees and Councilors, and on my own behalf, I extend our best wishes to you on the occasion of Eid ul Adha – The Festival of Sacrifice – “Eid Mubarak”.

Eid-ul-Adha reminds us all of the trials and triumphs and the firm determination of sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim (AS), and his obedience to Allah (SWT). The Holy Qur’an describes Prophet Ibrahim (AS) in Surah An-Nahl, 16:120-121;

“Surely Ibrahim was an exemplar, obedient to Allah, upright, and he was not of the polytheists. And We gave him good in this world, and indeed, in the Hereafter he will be among the righteous.”

Let us remember Allah’s (SWT) grace and favours to us on this auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Adha. Giving charity to the poor and needy is highly recommended on such occasions; I wish to remind you to send your Obligatory Dues, Zaka’at, Sadka and any other contributions to the Africa Federation Secretariat in Dar es Salaam.

Let us pray for the pilgrims’ blessed journey and successful completion of the Hajj rituals and the Ziyarat of the Holy Prophet of Islam, his progeny and the faithful followers of Ahlulbayt (AS) in the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah and their safe return to their homes, Ameen.

May I request you to remember the Marhumeens who were with us last Eid and are no longer in our midst and all Marhumeens with Sura-e-Fateha.
